Sally at the Grampians (6"x 8")

"Sally at Grampians" a 6”x8” oil on Belgian linen panel capturing a tranquil moment with one of my students immersed in her work. Moments after me starting this painting, Sally took a short break, and while she was gone a sudden gust of  wind knocked her easel to the ground. After this Sally sat down under a tree to complete her painting and I had to finish from memory very quickly.
