My Painting Gear

My Paints

Quality matters! I'm an oil painter and working with colour is the most satisfying aspect of painting. Colours that mix well and keep their vibrance are valuable in the field.

Why I Paint with Langridge Oils

Some materials simply make you want to paint. For me, Langridge oils have done exactly that.

Made in Melbourne, Australia, Langridge paints have played a significant part in my renewed love of painting.

As an oil painter, I’m interested in the subtleties of colour, the relationships between tones, and the way paint responds to the brush. These are the things that keep me coming back to the easel, whether I’m painting outdoors in the Australian landscape or working in the studio.

I’m not someone who needs an endless array of colours. I prefer a considered palette and the challenge of mixing what I need. But the quality of the paint matters. When materials feel right to work with, they invite you to keep exploring, experimenting and painting.

I recommend Langridge because I genuinely enjoy using their paints. And there’s something particularly satisfying about supporting a quality Australian-made product.
