Patchwork (6"x8")

'Patchwork' is a plein air original oil painting on Belgian linen panel. 8x6 inches. Amazingly this is the first plein air painting on the street I have done in Canowindra, my home town. The first!! I have lived here over 20 years and painted 100's of streetscapes of the town as studio paintings. So I am really pleased to have overcome whatever obsticle was preventing me from just getting out and doing some. After painting 'Patchwork' I did 2 more 8x6 paintings standing in the street. So this is the first in that small series of 3. The name of the painting comes from the subject if the painting contains a small shop called The Plague and I which focuses on the dangerous hobby of patchwork. It is the purple shop in the middle.
