Blue Poles captures the vibrant heart of Canowindra’s Gaskill Street, viewed through the striking blue verandah posts of the Victoria Hotel — known locally as the Old Vic Inn. Painted in my typical impressionistic, painterly style, the scene is alive with colour and tonal contrast.
Across the street, the familiar facades of heritage buildings and the David Isbester Gallery stand beneath the warm Australian light, while a few modern cars quietly hint at the rhythm of daily life.
