A movie about painting. At long last. These two paintings of Mt Canobolas are the first paintings in a series designed to get myself back into painting landscapes from life. So more plein air paintings and videos coming soon.
I'm considering making a sign for my gallery door that says 'Out Painting'. Similar to the 'Gone Fishing' signs that are usually hand painted on old pailings and hung or sometimes even nailed above a cabin or a shed door to explain to visitors why the inhabitant has vanished. And also implying that they won't be back anytime soon. If only I could get away with that. Or maybe I could just make a sign that displays my opening hours and go painting at other times. Yeah, I can see that working as well.
A few of my friends have asked why I haven't been doing videos about painting. Well, my intention has always been to do just that and I have been working on it all the while. And so, here it is.
It is definitely on the long side, so make sure you grab a cup of tea, milo or top up your wine. Enjoy!
