Driving home on a stormy afternoon can be very entertaining. This is big sky country. These storms can appear like grumpy little clouds sweeping their way across the landscape. They are quite violent when you get caught in one. Thunder, lightning, strong winds and hail. Then there is the deluge. So much water, No time to drain away. You can be driving on a totally dry road the suddenly the road where the storm hit can be submerged. Very dangerous and care must be taken.
This particular storm had passed through Canowindra only minutes before I got home. We had some flooding inside our kitchen. No damage though. Just an annoying mop up. The garden copped a thrashing too but looked also as though it had enjoyed the watering.
