Major road works in the Main Street of Grenfell became almost a permanent activity for some time. Once they started digging they had to keep going. This painting captures the contrast between the old buildings like the the Railway Hotel and the huge machines working on the road.

Framed with ethically sourced Tasmanian Oak.

Description

‘Road Work’ 6x8in, Oil on Belgian linen panel. This is a painting of the Main Street of Grenfell NSW looking across from a laneway near the Railway Station

This painting is part of a body of work being created for an exhibition I am in with 2 other artists -Peter Larsen and Dermot Rodwell at the Grenfell Art Gallery. The painting is for sale now but will be only available after the exhibition is opened on the 4th of March.
