‘Recollections at Finns’. Original painting. Oil on stretched canvas. 25cm x 25cm x 4cm. Part of the on going ‘Small Town Series’. ‘Recollections at Finns’ depicts the Finns old Store in Gaskill St Canowindra looking east. Finns store is a cafe among other things. A place where people sit and talk and tell stories. Hence recollecting tales of the past. But also in this painting there a several things which have changed in the scene shortly after painting it. The verandah of the old pub is gone and the large white and red Holden sign has been removed. Disappearing into the world of memory. Again recollections.
