‘Lachlan at Gooloogong’ 9″x12″ Oil on Belgian linen Panel. ‘Lachlan at Gooloogong’ is a plein air painting of the Lachlan River. Also known as the Kalari by the Wiradjuri people who originally inhabited the area. This was painted after rain and in Australia it is normal for inland rivers to have that muddy colour. Other paintings of the Lachlan include the ‘Swing Tree‘. The location of this painting is Gooloogong travelling stock reserve near the new Gooloogong bridge.
