While setting up to paint this painting in the street we saw a few very close misses from cars doing U-turns almost as though they had right of way. But also this building was a butchery. Hence the name.

Description

‘Ewe turns and T-bones’ 9″x12″, Oil on Belgian linen panel. This is a plein air painting of Schweitzer’s Butchery in Grenfell NSW . With major road works happening in the nearby main street, this location seemed to be a popular place for U-turns. While painting, we witnessed a few near accidents. Luckily no-one was hurt in the making of this painting.

This is one of the paintings from the exhibition ‘When only the west will Do’ held at the Grenfell Art Gallery in March 2022.
