Introducing ‘Cowra Rocks’ an original plein air oil painting on Belgian Linen Panel. It’s size is 8″x10″ and is in portrait orientation. The painting portrays a Cowra hill side with granite boulders and natural bush land. The painting is typical of Isbester’s impressionist style. With broad positive brushwork and earthy tones he captures the essential elements and atmosphere. Painted not far from the artists birthplace, this painting has the added significance of being of the actual place he came from. Whilst painting here Isbester observed deer, kangaroos, wallabies and even had a close encounter with an echidna.
