Description
Introducing ‘Arkaba at Rawnsley’, an ‘en plein air’ oil painting of a dry creek bed in the Flinders Ranges SA. Arkaba Creek was dry the day of this painting but is subject to extreme flooding which was evidenced by debris up to 3 meters up some of the trees. The painting captures the tranquil beauty in the middle of the day with Rawnsley Bluff towering in the background. These are tough trees to survive both the power of water rushing down the floodway and extreme drought and yet they exude gentleness and endurance.
