A timelapse video of my plein air painting process. From setting up to packing up. Even a cameo appearance from my little family who called out to see where I had ended up. Billimari. Billimari is a small place and so I was easy to find. The railway is no longer used and the wooden sleepers under the tracks felt spongey under foot. The video shows how light can vary dramatically over the afternoon and how I am constantly stepping back and squinting at both the painting and the subject. It looks as though I am doing a shuffle dance or something. That is a big part of the painting process.
