‘Dog Tree’ is an original oil painting on Belgian Linen Panel. 13cm x 18cm (5″x7″)

This tree is across the road from the Cazneaux Tree.  Searching for the subject of my next painting in the Cazneaux Tree series, I went for a walk and looking at this tree closely I discovered in its hollow a stash of bones and animal sculls. I looked around to see if I could more traces of this predator. Then thinking this tree was ideal for the series I set up and began painting. Whilst painting, I felt as though I was being watched. And I have to say I was spending a lot of time looking around to make sure I wasn’t being stalked.

Comes framed with ethically sourced Australian plantation solid Oak.
