‘The Echinda’s Range’ captures the rugged beauty of the Cowra hills. This 11″x14″ plein air painting on Belgian linen describes the bushland with trees and granite boulders on the side of a hill. This is a peaceful place and whilst painting, Isbester encountered an Echidna wandering through the scene. This impression of the Australian bush is more than just a painting, it evokes the spirit of place where even the smallest of creatures can create a commotion while moving through the crunchy landscape.
