‘Hospital at Port Arthur’ is an original oil painting on Belgian Linen Panel. 20cm x 25cm (8″x10″)

This hospital was built between 1841 and 1842. The new sandstone & brick hospital had two gabled wings which contained the wards and also housed a provisions store, a kitchen with a baking oven, a morgue and a waste collection room.
