Description
‘Longs Corner Study’ is a plein air painting of some bushland at Longs Corner near Canowindra. The style is loose and broad and shows freshness and energy. All in an attempt to catch the light before it changes. The subject is very complex and the art is in choosing what to paint and what is not necessary. I squint at the subject and if I can’t see it, it’s left out. Quick studies like ‘Longs Corner Study’ are essential for developing both painting and observation skills.
