My studio/ gallery/ home is located in the bustling main street of the small town of Canowindra in the central west, New South Wales, Australia. This is a town famous for it’s rich lucerne flats, hot air balloon festival, a thriving art community and some very nice wineries. The historic main street has been used in movies and TV shows and looks almost as though it is a set from an old western movie. I have painted it many times and it’s always an inspiration.
The gallery was once home to ‘The Union Bank of Australia’ and was built around 1910. The original bank counter has survived despite the building being used for various businesses. A stock and station agent, Doctors surgery and even a women’s designer label outlet. The gallery also serves as my studio and workshop.
David Isbester Gallery is open Weekends 10am to 4pm.
